The Service of Remembrance for Mr. Jeffrey Gene Moyars, age 71, of Floral City, Florida, will be held 11:00 AM, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, Florida. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Sunday at the Chapel. Jeffrey was born January 31, 1950 in Lafayette, IN, son of Ted and Jean (Sheets) Moyars and he passed away on September 10, 2021 in Inverness, FL. He worked as an Agriculture Inspector for State of Florida and retired after 30 years of service. He moved to Floral City, FL, from Romeo, FL in 1988. Jeffrey was a cattle rancher who loved to farm and ranch. He also loved animals and John Deere Tractors.
Mr. Moyars was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by daughters; Sarah E. Rollison and her husband Richard of Lithia, FL, Savannah Moxley of Hernando, FL, brother, Avery Moyars and his wife Peggy of Maynardville, TN.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory. Lunch will be served at the Citrus County Cattlemen's Association. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the Citrus County Cattlemen's Educational Fund P.O Box 2742 Inverness, FL. 34451.

He was the true cowboy of what we knew in life growing up. I really looked up to him as an honest and hard working man. I will truly miss talking to him about his stories that he lived through. I will miss him. JimStoney
