Jennie Agnes Connor

1921 - 2019

Jennie Agnes Connor, 97, of Lecanto, FL, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 under the loving care of her family and Vitas Hospice. Jennie was born on October 11, 1921 in Chicopee, MA to Michal and Agata (Hajec) Bozyk. She lived in Springfield, MA most of her life, working for Forbes & Wallace in downtown Springfield as an Assistant Buyer in Women's Sportswear, and then Milton Bradley/Hasbro in East Longmeadow, MA later in life. After retiring, she lived at Quarry Hill in East Longmeadow, then moved to Citrus County, FL eight years ago, where she lived at Walden Woods and then Brentwood Retirement Community. Jennie was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Homosassa, FL and St. Scholastica Church in Lecanto, FL. She was also a member of the Golden Agers in Springfield, MA.
She was preceded in death in 1975 by her husband of 32 years, William J. Connor. She is survived by one son, William J. Connor, Jr., and two grandchildren, Monica and David Connor. She is greatly missed by her daughter-in-law, Maxine Connor.
Jennie was an avid knitter and loved to play Bingo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 5430 West Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto, FL. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Springfield, MA.
