Jeremy Colt Creel, 36, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on December 19, 2024. Born on February 7, 1988, Jeremy was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. His presence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Jeremy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy Reserves, where he was stationed in Italy. Following his military service, Jeremy worked as a deputy with Wakulla County before beginning his career as an officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Citrus County, Florida. Jeremy was deeply passionate about protecting the natural beauty of Florida and ensuring the safety and well-being of its wildlife and residents. Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, Charles Creel Sr., Walter Balser, and Christopher Mctarsney, whose memories he cherished throughout his life. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Ann Creel, and his father, Troy Dwaine Creel, along with his stepmother, Ann-Marie Creel. He leaves behind his siblings: Justin Creel and his partner April Royal, Autumn Creel, Jordan Simmons and her husband Roger Simmons, Sadie Tomberlin, Cole Tomberlin, Ella Keech, and Levi Keech. Jeremy was a devoted uncle to his niece, Charlie Creel, and his nephew, Jackson Creel. Jeremy also leaves behind his cousins, Chase Creel and his wife Jenn Creel, and Brandi Farmer. His grandmothers, Barbara Balser, Patricia Creel, and Deborah Berry, along with her husband Newton Berry, also survive him. Additionally, he is survived by his uncles and aunts, Charles Creel Jr. and his wife Cheryl Creel, Tanya Creel, Patrick Creel, Mike Mctarsney, and Kimberly Sandy. Jeremy’s compassionate heart and infectious smile will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. Whether serving his country, protecting Florida’s wildlife, or spending time with loved ones, Jeremy lived his life with dedication, bravery, and kindness. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be February 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM from the Calvary Chapel Church, 960 Highway 41 South, Inverness, FL next to Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home who is assisting the family. May Jeremy’s memory live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Jeremy "worm" was always the life of the party. Could make friends with anyone, lucky to have considered him a friend through our school years and the Police Academy. Always the hardest worker in the room. My condolences to his family and friends. This one hurts, Rest Easy my friend.
