In addition to his parents, Jerome was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Cartagena.
Jerome is survived by his children, William Valentine, Connie Catapano and Sonia Maldonado, Theresa Torres, Dorothy Torres, Carla Torres; one sister, Dorothy Ungarelli; two brothers, Anthony Torres and Louis Torres; eleven grandchildren, Sabrina "Pork Chop" Maldonado, Nestor Maldonado, Ralph Maldonado, Jessie Maldonado, Christina Velez, Celeste Valentine, Jasmine Valentine, Wendy Valentine, Vanessa Valentine, Samantha Martinez and Jessica Farr; one great grandchild, Corrina Velez.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, FL. Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, January 19th from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Although I only knew Jerry for 14 years, he instantly became a dear friend as I'm sure was the case with anyone who met him. His smile, his sense of humor, his personality and that contagious laugh of his is truly missed but never forgotton. He will live on in the memories of so many. Rest In Peace, my dear friend.
