Joseph F. Gallagher, 85, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away after a brief illness, Saturday evening, June 25, 2022.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, February 24, 1937, he was a son of the late Joseph Gallagher and Elizabeth (Coughlin) Ryan.
A beloved brother, father and grandfather, Joe is predeceased by his wife Mary Jo. Joe is survived by his brother, Richard Gallagher, and his partner, Sally of Florida; his children, Joanne Gallagher, Joseph (Jay) Gallagher and his wife, Wanda, and Jacqui Gallagher all of NH; his grandchildren, Joseph (Jake) Gallagher and his wife, Courtney, Meaghan Pratt and her husband, Alex, Joshua Gallagher, Ali Maynard and Morgan Maynard; and his great-grandchildren, Hannah Gallagher and Elliot Gallagher all of NH; and his beloved cat, Daisy.
Joe lived a life well lived. He settled in Crystal River, FL, in 1978 with Mary Jo. For many years, he enjoyed his summer home in VT. He shared numerous stories about his world travels. Joe was an avid sports fan first of the Boston sports teams and eventually the Tampa Bay teams. Joe loved golfing and skiing and later in life enjoyed watching golf on Sunday afternoons while talking to his brother Richie on the phone. Of course, one of his greatest pleasures was enjoying gourmet dinners prepared by Mary Jo.
Joe was a veteran of the United States Air Force and later worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, FL. Services will include a private family burial in New Hampshire.

So sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a wonderful man and friend to my Dad and Mom and later to myself. Loved visiting with him and Mary Jo during their summers in VT.
Have special pictures of him driving as our chauffeur for our wedding. He holds a special place in my heart.

I really miss you Joe, you were not only my boss but you were my friend and I looked at you as another dad. I know you and MaryJo are together again.
I miss those morning phone calls with you saying "Good morning Donna, Joe Gallagher here" RIP sweet man.
