Kevin LaPuma Obituary
Kevin was born in Long Island, N.Y., to John R. and Susan (Peterson) LaPuma.
He worked for LePage Carpet and Tile as a tile setter. Kevin enjoyed dining out, trying new food choices, traveling and meeting people. He also liked playing with his remote-control cars and airplanes, boating and jet skiing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His outgoing personality, hilarious sense of humor and beautiful smile could light up the room.
Left to cherish his memory is his father and stepmother, John and Judy LaPuma; his fiancée Stacey LePage and their beloved dog, Tootsie; sisters Cheryl LaPuma and Brandy LaPuma; brothers John LaPuma Jr. and Devin LaPuma; nephews Ryan and Ian LaPuma; Stacey's family, Al and Sharon LePage, sisters Alycia LePage and Audrey Lloyd, her husband John Lloyd and their daughter Kamryn Lloyd. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan.
Private arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory.

Kevin, you were the best uncle anyone could have. I think of you every day. 11 years later and I´m still in disbelief you aren´t here anymore. I still remember the moments we had together before you left us. I just wish I had more time and memories with you now that I´m older. The pain will never go away. You had a heart of gold and a laugh that could light up the place. You had a way of bringing the family together and filling our lives with unforgettable experiences and we always had to go all the way out with everything we did to have the greatest time doing it. You made everyone feel special, especially me. You were more than just my uncle, you were my friend, my protector, my safe place I could tell anything to. Life isn´t the same without you anymore and it never will be. Oh I miss you so much Kev.

Oh babe I so miss you more than I can put into words. In this life, not everybody is fortunate enough to find their true love, but we were so blessed to have spent the past 24 years together. You know you have been the love of my life since we were 14 in the 8th grade. I still have a bag of your love notes. The love we shared gave me so much contentment and true happiness. We had such a special bond and so many beautiful memories. I so loved the simplest things in life with you. Life was always great as long as I had my Kevin, whether it be simply watching tv on the couch, talking about what we want to eat for dinner, bullcrapping on the back patio or just cuddling. I loved your heart so much, your spontaneity, your hilarious way, but especially that special light about you. You are at peace now in God's arms my dear Kevin. You will always have half my heart hun. There is and will NEVER be another Kevin LaPuma; you were like no other, simply amazing. But I am working on finding my happy for you babe, because I know you want only the best for me and Toots. Until we meet again at Heaven's gates, your happy spirit will give me the strength to walk through this life. Oh God, I love you so much Kevin Michael LaPuma.

Kevin, there are so many wonderful words to describe you. Where to begin? You were the light in the room! Your smile was infectious! Your laugh made us all laugh with you! You are missed so much and thought of everyday! My girls love you soooo much as do I and Joey! I laughed every time you and Joey were together. You both made fun of each other. It was like a battle of the disses. lol! We are so grateful that you were a part of our lives. 22 years! You have entered our hearts and will remain there forever! Until we meet again! Kevin, You were always so full of excitement. There was never a dull moment being around you. Your laugh...it was like no other. You had such a big heart, your encouragement really helped me on some hard days. There are so many things I will miss about you, but most of all is seeing the love you and Stacey shared for one another. I am happy knowing you are at peace and safe with God.

We all miss you. We know you're look'n down on us from heaven. If it's anything like the Bible describes, I know you're tak'n it easy in your golden mansion, sharing a cold one with God. From the brief time I got to meet you, I came to know the amazing, funny, and loving person you are. Everyone, especially Stacey and Toots, were so blessed to have you in their lives. You could take any situation and brighten it up. You've blessed our lives now your experiencing all of the Lord's blessings. Don't worry, with a lot a love and a little help from God, I'll do my best to take care of your niece. I love her to death and there's not a thing I wouldn't do to see that smile on her face every day. Take care Kev, just know that there's a family here who deeply loves you and misses you. As Randy Travis would say, "It's not what you take when you leave this world, it's what you leave behind when you go." May God keep you in his graces forever.

I can't remember much of my teenage years without you. You were my cousin, best friend, partner in crime, and my back up plan when I needed help getting Stacey to say "yes". I always knew if I planned something with you it would not only be fun but an adventure I would talk about the rest of my life. I can't believe your gone...I always imagined the four of us growing old together. I think about you periodically through out the day and the thought of you makes me smile. Our time with you was cut way to short. I know Stacey has a long and hard road ahead of her and I promise you she won't do it alone. Kevin, you are and always will be remembered, talked about, and celebrated. You will NEVER be forgotten.

You were my big brother. We would fight one day and the next day it was as if nothing happened. We could never stay mad at each other. You were always the person I looked up to. You accepted everyone for who they were, with no questions asked. You mean so much to me...No words could explain how much. I loved your little chuckle. It always made everyone else laugh in the room. You could brighten up anyone's day. Its hard to say that we are able to go on with life without you but I know in my heart that you want all of us to be happy. You ALWAYS wanted the best for me and our whole family. Kevin, It doesn't seem so long ago you and Stacey met in middle school about 24 years ago. Stacey brought you home to our house, and quickly you captured all of our hearts. You had the girls at hello. i took a lil longer.You were funny,and always laughing, always the kind of person you wanted to be around. We had so much fun, boating all the trips, dinners, all the adventure, i can't name all of them. Kevin, you were like a son to me and Sharon. You have no idea how much I miss your daily phone calls. The first thing you would always say is "Hi Sha are you busy?" and then without fail you would say "are you sure". We had some real heart to hearts. I will always cherish those memories. It truly makes me feel special to know you respected my opinion. I don't ever remember a time I asked you to do me a favor that you said no, you always wanted to help everybody. I could go on forever but no words can express how much I love and miss you Kevin. I can count on both of my hands over 20 plus years in the military, law enforcement, and working overseas as a contractor the guys I could depend on to trust, and to keep his word. You are at the top of that honorable list Kev. And you know the kind of guys I work with, which says a lot about you! You always put your family first and never hesitated to take care of everyone before yourself. The Kevin I know was kind, funny, generous,and extremely loyal and full of life. I will miss your laugh, energy, and friendship. Oh, and I won't hold it against you that you left me here all alone with a family full of beautiful, emotional women to deal with on my own!!!HA! You owe me big time for this one brother! In the words of Ozzy Osborne....."See you on the other side"

Hey Kev, I miss you and just like mommy said, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you all the time. I can still hear that funny giggly laugh that you always had and see that big smile that lit up the room. You were like no other, and such a character always making everyone crack up laughing. You were truly the uncle every niece would absolutely love having. You would always do anything for me and go out of your way just to see me happy. Every day I look over at your house only imagining seeing you walk over to come and visit me like you used to. Your five minute visits would turn into an hour long conversation over just about anything and just like always we would be laughing. I love you with all my heart and of course no one will know just how much I miss you, but I look forward to the day I get to be with you again.

Hey Kev,
There's not one minute of every day that I don't think of you , your smile , and your funny laugh. I miss your jokes and the "off the cuff" things that you would say. You had me cracking up and you always cracked up at your own remarks. I will always remember the yells from the field (Yo Aud) as you would be walking to my house no matter day or even past midnight that always turned into long talks. You would do anything for me and you will always have a very special place in my heart. I love you Kev and I miss you so much.

To both families, we had the pleasure of getting to know Kevin when he installed tile for us a couple of times. He was a fine young man and we had a lot of fun while he worked even after work he came by to show us his remote helicopter. He will be missed by all who knew him.
