Laurie Partanen Obituary
Laurie was born May 22, 1921 in Florence, WI, son of Charles and Selma (Kransi) Partanen. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Briggs and Stratton Corporation, an American manufacturer of gasoline engines. Laurie moved to Crystal River, Florida from New Berlin, WI in 1983 and attended both Beverly Hills Community Church, and Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. He was also involved with the Beverly Hills Scandinavian Club and found great enjoyment in the Art Center Theatre of Citrus County and the Hudson Theatre. Laurie enjoyed playing golf, traveling the USA, and was always known to be a joke teller. A resident of Cedar Creek, Laurie kindly assisted other's by taking them to their doctor appointments.
Laurie was preceded in death by father, Charles Partanen, mother, Selma Kransi, loving wife, Eleanor M. Partanen, brother, George Partanen, brother, Theodore Partanen, son, Edward Partanen.
Survivors include daughter, Karen (Harley) Frakes of Crystal River, FL, daugher-in-law, Peggy Partanen, 7 grandchildren, Brian (Gina) Frakes, Brandon Frakes, Shawn (Brenda) Frakes, Alan Partanen, Eryn Brandham, Kenny Partanen, Donny Partanen, and 11 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Chandler, Riley, Kaylee, Tiana, McRae, Kyla, Brenna, Evan, Emery, and Samantha.
