Lona Lee Prevatt, nee Sottrel, 81 of Crystal River, FL went to her Father on August 21, 2021.
She was born February 22, 1940 in Chicago, IL and graduated from Leydon High School in Franklin Park, IL. Lona was a retired consumer accountant with WREC. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devout Christian, loving friend and sister. She loved to read, write and dance but most of all, spend time with family, her great grandchildren were the light of her life and brought her great love and joy. Lona was a member of Gulf to Lake Church of Crystal River, FL, Women's Club of Crystal and the Magnolia's friends group.
She is survived by her children Dianna "Dee" Gavin and husband John, David J Volmer and Donald F Volmer, brother Jeffrey Sottrel, grandchildren Joseph L Gavin and Dustin L Gavin and wife Kelly, granddaughter-in-law Jessica Morrow, great grandchildren Mackenzie L Gavin and Olivia G Gavin, beloved pets Poppy, George and Honey. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Olive Sottrel, her step mother Alice Sottrel, brother Ronald and sister Ruth, beloved pets Barry and Baby.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM in the Life Center at Gulf to Lake Church 1454 N Gulf Ave (Hwy 44) in Crystal River, FL on September 25th where memories, laughter and good eats will be shared. Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory of Crystal River, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.
