Madeleine Verbrigghe Obituary

Madeleine G. Verbrigghe, 84, of Inverness, FL, died on December 5, 2011, at her home.
Madeleine was born February 10, 1927, in St. Nicholas, Michigan, the daughter of Jules and Sabina Cafmeyer. Before moving to Inverness in 1981, Madeleine and her late husband Emil resided on their family farm in Rumely, MI. Madeleine was an exceptional woman, touching all who met her in a special way. Proverbs 31:10-31 provides a Biblical portrayal of the life she led. She was an example of humility, grace, and humbleness; a praying woman who followed Christ's example of "love as I have loved you." She was a Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Verbrigghe (Bonnie) of AL, James Verbrigghe (Jeanne) of MI, Donald Verbrigghe (Martha) of MI, and Michael Verbrigghe of WA; daughters, Janice Keavney of Inverness, Marlene Peoples (Skosh) of South Africa, and Patti Scheible of Vero Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Verbrigghe will be Thursday, December 8, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Heinz Funeral Home, with a Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 9, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O. Box 641270 Beverly Hills, FL 34464. Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
