I was a young man of 31 when I went to work for Nick Bryant and the Citrus County Commission in 1981. I left in 1987 having experienced a lifetime of learning and lessons in that short period of time and a great respect for the Commissioners I worked with. Nick loved his family, his God and his community, Nick and his wonderful wife Ginger devoted much of their life in service to the people of Citrus County and always with a smile on their face. After I left the County Nick and I stayed in touch on and off. We went to a couple of Gator football games together and lunch once in a while. I just couldn't let this opportunity pass without recognizing what a fine man Nick Bryant was.
