Nick Nicholas Obituary

Nick Nicholas, of Inverness, left his earthly home to be with Jesus on February 16, 2025 at the age of 82.

Nick was the Owner/President of Nick Nicholas Ford in Inverness for 43 years and previously owned Gulf Coast Ford in Crystal River. He started his automobile career in Akron, Ohio selling cars at the age of 19. Nick was a hardworking, honest and a humble man, who loved his family and helping others. Nick won the prestigious Ford Motor Company President's Award several times and the Chairman's Award along with many other awards from Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Ford Dealer Advertising Fund for several years. Nick was voted "Mr. Inverness" and received the key to the City of Inverness. Most recently in 2023, the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce presented him with the BR Quinn Award.

He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1977 and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He loved traveling and cruising all over the world with his wife, Lynda. He was the most amazing husband, father, PaPa, Uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by those that loved him.

He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Lynda; two daughters: Carol Nicholas of Tampa and Christy Bryant (Shane) of Hernando; five grandchildren: Allison Simmons (Josh), Ashley Sullivan (Michael), Nicholas Bryant, Brooke Bryant (Jace) and Mason Bryant; two great-grandchildren: Immy Simmons and Carter Sullivan; a brother Jack (Linda) Nicholas; two sisters: Pauline Tinker and Marlene (Cliff) Baker; two Sisters-in-law Cathy Nicholas and Evelyn Garrett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William James and Elizabeth Nicholas, a brother James Gilbert Nicholas, and in-laws: Richard and Liz Heffelfinger, Virginia Johnson, Bill Pritts, Pat Thomas, Bill Tinker, and Don Garrett.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Cornerstone Baptist Church 1100 W. Highland Blvd., Inverness, Fl 34452. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00. The service will be live streamed atthecorner.church and click watch online.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to two of Nick's favorite local charities.
