Philip Brown Obituary

Philip J. Brown, age 82, of Citrus Springs, Florida passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at his home with his family at his side. His fight with cancer was over. Philip was born March 11, 1940, in Brooklyn NY. He grew up in Queens, NY.

Philip was a New York City Police Officer for 20 years. After retirement he moved from Levittown, NY to Citrus Springs, FL. He then worked for Citrus County school district as a school bus driver for 18 years.

Philip was preceded in death by his son, Michael on March 13, 2020. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 years, Anne. His sons: Thomas (Marie), Philip (Cynthia), Vincent (Krissy) and Anthony (Shari). HIs sisters: Irene Thomas & husband Robert, of Citrus Springs, FL and Virginia Brown of St. Petersburg FL.

He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Vincent, Tracy, Joseph, Anthony, Haley, and McKenna and one great granddaughter: Hudson Marie. He also leaves behind many friends in NY and Florida. A visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 10th from 5 – 8 PM at Fero Funeral Home Celebration Lodge in Beverly Hills, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
