Richard Nizza Obituary

Richard Louis Nizza, 82, of Inverness passed away at home on January 26, 2024. Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 23, 1941 to the late Louis and Mabel (Fell) Nizza. Richard served his Country in the US Navy. He retired after 40 years as a partner and court reporter with Huron Reporting, in Michigan.

He was a big Detroit Lions fan and hoped to see them win the Super Bowl this year. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and kayaking.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Kay Wells who he married on Valentine's Day 2016; his sisters: Theresa Buffone (John), Linda Shea (Dan), Diane Jarzeboski, and Jayne Nizza; brother: Louis Nizza; many nieces and nephews; step-children: Marikaye (Rob), Bridgit (Bill), Kevin(Sue) and many step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Martha.

Following cremation Richard's urn will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
