Roberta Knopp Obituary

Mrs. Roberta B. Knopp, age 71 of Homosassa, Florida, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 in Brooksville, Florida. She was born February 23, 1950 in Meriden, CT, to parents Pearson and Ruth (Bailey) Buridge.
At the age of 50, Bobbie earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting and after graduation she worked as an Accountant for the Middletown Housing Authority. Her life's passion was giving back, she served on the Board of Camp Claire in Lyme, CT, was majority member and past Mother Advisor of Meriden Assembly #11 and served on several state committees for the International Order for the Rainbow for Girls, a member of Meriden Chapter #8, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto.
Fifteen years ago Bobbie moved to Homosassa, Florida with her beloved husband Harold "Skip". She was known for her creativity, her love of family, her faith, and belief in "Made with Love". Her crocheted blankets are treasured and cherished by many, her grandchildren and loved ones would look forward to receiving hand crafted cards for birthdays and special occasions.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lynn Berg. Bobbie is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Harold A. Knopp, daughter, Rebecca and husband James Campbell, son, Steven Knopp, sister, Carolyn Ladd, and her three grandchildren, Veronica, James, and Jacob. Those of us that were blessed to have known her now know we have an angel looking over each of us.

I worked with Bobbie at the Middletown Housing Authority..not only was she my co-worker, but a wonderful friend! Upon my retirement, she crocheted for me the MOST BEAUTIFUL Yellow Afghan with ANGELS!! That was Bobbie..an Angel on earth! I truly treasure that afghan! Always looked forward to receiving her personally made Christmas Cards..u could tell how much LOVE she put into them! Camp Claire was also a special place in her heart..we always enjoyed a summer visit with them, sitting on a porch, overlooking Hamburg Cove..it was so beautiful & relaxing..we know Bobbie is enjoying that serenity now..she will be sorely missed!! Our deepest sympathy to Skip, Steven, Rebecca & Family Marion & Mike Milaniak

Bobbie you were such a blessing to have known you . When in card class with you I would tease you , in love of course . To be around you in bible study you were a beautiful angel amongst us.
Will see you again some day , looking forward to it .

I am saddened to hear of Bobbies passing. She and Skip were neighbors of mine in Homosassa for 15 years. May she rest in peace.
