Roger M. Preble, age 90, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away December 6, 2025, at Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL.
Roger was born on March 14, 1935, in White Plaines, NY to Edgar and Alice (Brey) Preble. He was a retired Senior Investigator for the New York Police Department and moved to Florida 40 years ago from Carmel, NY. Roger was a member of the Knight of Columbus Council #14485 and St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, FL.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his son, Michael Preble and his brother, Alan Preble.
Survived by his wife, Marjorie E Preble; five children, Lynette Willie and her husband Jay, Monica Landry and her husband Ray, Donald Farrell and his wife Lynne, Particia Farrell, Daniel Farrell; two sisters, Judith Kenny, Laurie Hughes and her husband Jim; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, FL on Monday, December 15, 2025.
Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, FL. Burial will follow at the Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa, FL.
