Beverly Hills, FL – Sharon Wilchynski "Bad Mama Jamma", 80, of Beverly Hills, FL., passed away on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022 at Seven Rivers Hospital in Crystal River, FL.
Sharon was born in Jackson, Michigan on March 9, 1943 to the late Tony and Shirley Riske. Shirley and Tony had three children. Sharon, Erine and Sandy.
Sharon was raised in Jackson, Michigan for the first part of her life. Then in 1956 she and her parents moved to Gulfport, Florida. She graduated from Boca Ceiga High School, Gulfport, FL in 1958. In 1965 she married Philip Wilchynski, had two children. John and Shirley Wilchynski. She loved going to Gulfport Beach and enjoying the "Gulfport" lifestyle. She would often take the ferry out to Fort Desoto beach and walk through the bioluminescencet waters at night. In late 2001, Sharon and Philip moved to Beverly Hills, in Citrus County Florida, FL to be near here son and daughter.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was often referred to as the "Bad mama Jamma", as she fought her way back from so many illnesses over the years. Her dedicated and loving husband Philip always went above and beyond to make sure she was well cared for. Sharon always cared more about others than herself. Even in her last days she would still text everyone to see how they were doing even though she was very ill. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed going to breakfast and talking to all of her friends. She was a social butterfly. In the afternoons she liked to watch the General Hospital soap opera on T.V. She enjoyed baking and the holidays. Sharon loved life, enjoyed her family, and will be remembered for loving others well.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years of marriage, Philip Wilchynski of Beverly Hills, FL; children John and Shirley Wilchynski of Dunnellon, FL; Also survived by grandchild Amber Archibald and son-in-law Tyler Archibald and daughter-in-law Rosanna Wilchynsk. A celebration of life will be held by the family in the near future. Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory of Crystal River, FL assisted the family with arrangements.
