I wanted to express my condolences to the Family of Tom Rhodes, he will be missed. May the Lord send comfort your way. For many years, Tom was eager to help when i would call with a question about oil sampling, trending, reporting and procedures. He was a true asset and helped me to be better at my job. Thanks Tom, Rest In Peace My Friend!

My deepest sympathy to Jane and the family. I worked with Tom many years at Progress Energy and we then remained in touch when I moved on to Doble Engineering. We spent many days together in the Lab since it was just the two of us. He was very intelligent but I must admit my eyes would glaze over when the discussion became lengthy about artifical intelligence or motorcycles, Tom was a talker and very passionate about his ideas. Tom left this earth to soon but he did leave his mark on many people and he will be missed. Rest in peace Tom.

My deepest sympathies and condolencies to Tom's family and friends. I was fortunate enough to have worked with Tom on some technical papers and articles - he was smart, perceptive, and unfailingly generous. We agreed on many things, but I would also occasionally receive the benefit of his unvarnished opinion - always in a manner which welcomed response, interaction and engagement. I learned much and am hugely grateful for the time we shared. RIP Tom.

So Sorry for the Rhodes family loss. I was merely a casual social media acquaintance. Tom & I had discussed several topics from either the same or opposing sides. I appreciated his ability to make me think and research - it was like exercise for the mind. He was a data driven, scientific based kind of a guy. I will certainly miss our mental bouts! Rest in Peace Tom Rhodes!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I have nothing but high praise for Tom Rhodes. He will be missed as a co-worker, industry teammate and friend. I admired his efforts at work in each positions he held. He was always pushing for improvement, not just talking about it, but taking action. Tom´s efforts in the industry were top notch, sharing findings and working with other industry leaders to improve trending and software analytics to identify equipment problems with laboratory data. Delta-X, Doble Engineering, NATF and GE.. were a few of the industry groups he worked with and we shared interest in supporting. Tom was a FORCE when it came to using data as a method to trigger further investigation. We will miss you Tom.
