Tulsa D. Corne, age 85, of Hernando, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Hernando, Florida. Born on February 4, 1940, in Trumann, Arkansas, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lebern Johnson and Juanita Hammons.
A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Tulsa lived a full and joyful life. She found happiness in the simple pleasures – traveling, shopping, cooking, and especially spending time in the mountains and around her grandchildren. Her warmth and caring spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Tulsa was a faithful member of the Inverness Church of God and cherished her faith, family, and friends deeply.
She is survived by her children: daughters Karen Redlin and Tammy Williams, and son David Corne. She also leaves behind her brother, Gary Johnson; sisters Carolyn Gibson, Paula Roush, and Twilla Sponholtz; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes, with Pastor Jon Powers officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that expressions of sympathy be made in Tulsa's memory to any children's charity of your choice – a tribute befitting her generous and nurturing spirit. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.hooperfuneral home.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes & Crematory.
