Vickie Poulsen Obituary

Vickie Lynn (Shirah) Poulsen, 78, passed away Monday October 20, 2025 at Diamond Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Facility, through the assistance of Vitas Healthcare Hospice. Vickie lived in Florida most of her life and was retired after serving the State of Florida for 30 years. Vickie was an honored life member of the Women of the Moose and Past Deputy Grand Regent for the State of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Leonard "Lucky" Shirah, Sr., Rosa Louise Barringer Fagg and Betty Sue Shirah; sister, Susie Shirah, brothers and sister-in-law, Wayne Shirah (Sue), Alvin Leonard "Beau" Shirah, Jr., and Robert Douglas "Sammy" Shirah.

Survivors are her husband of 59 years and daughter, Dennis L. Poulsen and Lynn Michele Poulsen Larsen both of Lecanto, FL, sisters Melanie Dawn Shirah and Debra Shirah Smith both of Darien, GA , step-brother and sister-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Leavell (Kathryn) of Cordele, GA; sister-in-law, Nancy Shirah of Darien, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral services. A private burial will be held at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A celebration of Vickie's life will be scheduled at a later date.
