Zakary A. Joyce, 20, of Homosassa, FL passed away suddenly December 6, 2025, in Brooksville, FL. Born on December 20, 2004, to Tina Joyce-Groot in Crystal River, FL, Zakary was a good soul who loved life.
He graduated from Lecanto High School in 2023 and worked as a groundskeeper for Cabet Citrus Farms in Brooksville. Zak loved spending time with his family, girlfriend, friends, and his beloved dog Keller. He was known for being a hard worker, having a big heart, incredible sense of humor, contagious smile, and infectious laugh. He had a passion for exploring the caves, gaming, golf, and enjoying quiet moments.
Zak brought light to those around him and left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his sister Hanna Marri Joyce-Perez and is survived by his loving mother Tina M. Joyce-Groot and stepfather Alex J. Groot of Homosassa, FL; brothers Errik R. Joyce and his wife Jess of Homosassa, Fl; and Anthony M. Perez of Homosassa, FL; grandparents Gary A. and Linda M. Joyce of Lecanto, FL.; nieces Rylee Monaghen and Alys Joyce of Homosassa, FL; his girlfriend Jocelyn Monday of Lecanto, FL.
Family will receive friends from 1PM-2PM, with a memorial service beginning at 2PM, Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto, FL
