Calvin WICHARD Obituary
Calvin. Went to be with the Lord on Sat. Dec. 24th, 2011 at the age of 86.Beloved husband of Norma (nee Aylor). Devoted father of John Sr. (Nina) and Cynthia Jane (nee Wichard) (Charles) Patterson. Loving grandfather of John Wichard Jr., Lisa Fischer, Natalie Wichard, Nathaniel Wichard, Aaron Patterson, and Heather Wilson. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Calvin was a veteran of WWII. He was attached to Company A, 5th Medical Battalion 5th Marine Division. He saw intense action at the Battle of Iwo Jima as a medical corpsman and was part of the first occupation force of the city of Sasebo, Japan. On Nov. 2, 2011 Calvin committed his life to the Lord. Visitation Fri. Dec. 30, from 12:30PM until time of Funeral Service at 2:00PM both at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home 10211 Plainfield Rd (just south of Glendale-Milford Rd). Memorials requested to the American Alzheimer's Association. www.mrfh.com

So many Christmas and New Years Eve's I spent with my Uncle Cal and Aunt Jane. Lots of love and laughter in that little home as a child. Summer evenings catching lightening bugs and watching the trains run. Love to all, Lari Kay
