Corwin Keith Nixon, Sr., 67 of Lebanon, died Saturday, July 26, 2014. Born to Corwin M. and Eleanor E. (nee: Van Meter) Nixon on November 7, 1946 in Cincinnati, OH. Keith was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School, attended Findlay College, Wright State University and was a life time member at the Lebanon United Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching Ohio State and the Cincinnati Bengals play. Keith was the General Manager at the Lebanon Raceway for many years and was very active in Harness Racing. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lebanon, Jay Cees, Shriners, 4-H, U.S.T.A., Warren County Fair Board, Turtlecreek Township Trustee and Safety Director for the Warren County Engineer's. He loved his dogs, especially Maggie. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Tina Maria Nixon Meranda. Keith is survived by his loving wife, Lornia (nee: Barnette) Nixon of Lebanon, one son, Corwin Keith Nixon, Jr. (Kerry) of Lebanon, one daughter, Melissa Nixon Miller (Dr. Brent) of Lebanon, son in law, Seth Meranda (Maura) of Ripley, twin sister, Karen Nixon Heaberlin (Don) of Lebanon and seven grandchildren, Preston and Austin Meranda, Eleanor, Corwin K. III and Cameron Nixon, Kaelynn Miller, one more on the way and many loving cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 30th at 11:00AM also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Warren County Humane Society PO Box 313, Lebanon, OH 45036, Diabetes Association and Tina Nixon Meranda Lung Cancer Research Fund Mass.
