Daniel PARSONS Obituary
PARSONS Daniel Chase MD., 51, of San Angelo passed away Sunday, January 14, 2001 at Shannon Medical Center. Dr. Parsons was born November 18, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio to William and Rita Parsons. Survivors include his wife Judy Bickers Parsons; his children Christopher Chase, age 17, Bryan Chase, age 15, and Patrick Chase, age 14. He is also survived by a sister Penny Bistany and husband Edward Bistany, a niece Brandy and a nephew Jordan Bistany, all of Long Island, New York. Dr. Parsons attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. where he graduated Phi-Beta Kappa, with a Master Degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science Degree. Dr. Parsons attended the University of Cincinnati Medical College. Dr. Parsons graduated from Medical school with AOL Honors. He completed a Pulmonary Fellowship in Long Beach, Calif. and became Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Emergency Room Medicine. Dr. Parsons was married to Judy Bickers on February 6, 1980 in Anaheim, Calif. As a professional, Dr. Parsons was an extremely dedicated physician. As a person, Dr. Parsons was a wonderful husband, father and lover of animals. He daily cooked and cared for seven dogs, his favorite being Bill. Dr. Parsons attended all of his children's school and athletic events. An avid soccer fan, Dr. Parsons could always be seen pacing the sideline, positively supporting the team. He will be truly missed by many. Family visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, in Johnson's Funeral Home from 6-9 P.M. Services will be Thursday, January 18 at 3 P.M. In Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lakan Mariano and John Webber officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Balfanz, Chris Lupton, Randy Swick, Robbie Calabrese, Daniel Lupton, Ryan Tambunga and Calyn May. Memorials may be made to the San Angelo Human Society or the Dr. Daniel C. Parsons Nursing Scholarship Fund at Angelo State University.
