Donald KENNEDY Obituary

KENNEDY Dr. Donald Louis Kennedy Jr., beloved husband, father, physician, brother and friend, passed away on Thursday Sept. 30 after a courageous 2 year battle with brain cancer. At 56, Dr. Kennedy peacefully breathed his last, while surrounded by his family and caring staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY. For the last 16 years, he has touched and healed the hearts of countless people in the Northern Kentucky area through his work as a cardiologist at Cardiology Associates PSC. "Lou" embraced life with vigor and an intense desire to: do-good, make a difference, have fun and learn as much as possible along the way from every encounter he had. He loved the Smoky Mountains, fishing, XU basketball, guitar, Octavio Paz, California, Miles Davis and Django his golden retriever. He is survived by his wife, Siena (Wahl), his three daughters, Laura, Cecily and Elsa, his mother, Patricia, his siblings, Tom (Janie), Jenny (Ken) Frondorf, Andy (Lyn), David (Mary Jo) and Elizabeth and seventeen nieces and nephews. You are invited to share in our celebration of his life at St. Pius X Church, in Edgewood. The visitation is scheduled at St. Pius X from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. A second visitation will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 10am until the time of Mass at 12noon at St Pius X Church in Edgewood. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. Donations may also be made to the Brain Tumor Center at the UC Neuroscience Institute via www.UCbrain TumorCenter.com
