Earl SIMMONDS Jr.

SIMMONDS Earl Stanley Jr., husband of 64 years to Florence (Gerstner) Simmonds; son of the late Dr Earl and Katherine (Althaus) Simmonds; brother of Virginia Salisbury, St Petersburg, FL, father of Russ (Brenda) Simmonds of Plano, TX, Char (Christoph) Lichtenfeld, Chicago, IL and Kay (Allen) Bornemann, Cincinnati, OH; grandfather of Jennifer and Matthew Bornemann, Audrey Benes, Heidi Kussurelis, Aaron, Nathan, Liza and David Lichtenfeld; and great grandfather of five, died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at home on his farm in Miamitown at age 89. He graduated with a degree in Animal Husbandry from Ohio State University and was a life long farmer. He enjoyed involvement in numerous farm organizations, including Farm Bureau Council, Hamilton Co. Fair Board, Soil Conservation, 4-H, etc. For over 60+ years he was active in the Miamitown Methodist Church and recently began attending the Crosby United Methodist Church. Also, a 60 year member of the Columbia Lodge #44 F&AM. Private servces are planned for Saturday, March 26, 2005 at the Crosby United Methodist Church. Memorials may be given to the Shrine Hospital Burns Unit, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229 or charity of one's choice.
