Florence WELLMAN Obituary

WELLMAN Florence Lenore (nee Maxey) of Greenhills, Ohio passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 in Worthington, Ohio. She was born July 12, 1920 in Hamilton, Ohio to the late Henry A. and Lenore B. Maxey. In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Richard Charles Wellman, precedes her in death. She graduated from Mt. Healthy High School and earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She taught at Madeira, Glendale, and Wyoming high schools for 33 years. She is survived by her devoted children, Richard C. Wellman Jr. (Sharon), William E. Wellman (Diana), Maxey L. Wellman (Stephen DiBartola) and Elizabeth A. Larson (David); grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Alex, and Stephanie DiBartola and Brice and Eric Larson; sisters, Violette E. Maxey and Eton M. Haines; nieces and nephews, Robert A. Haines Jr., Henry S. Haines, David L. Wellman, Linda L. Meyer and Lenore L. Hicks; and several dear cousins and friends. Friends may pay their respects Thursday, June 21, 2007, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 703 Compton Road. Funeral service will be held at the church Friday, June 22, 2007 at 10 A.M. with Pastor Jeffrey Hosmer officiating. Private burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church or to the Greenhills Historical Society. Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home serving the family.
