Fred "Fritz" Unger has been a dear friend of mine for more than 50 years. We met in Heidelberg Germany where we were serving in the U.S. Army. Fritz was a part of a group we called the Necar river rats, a group he loosely held together to the end. I knew I could expect a call every other week or so and hear a rundown of the groups stories. Fritz was a fine father and husband and dedicated his life's work to them. He was one of Gods spearpoints in the way he lived his life. Fritz and Carolyn visited me here in NC a few months ago even when he was aware that cancer was consuming him. I love he and Carolyn. I'll miss his calls but I'll treasure his memory forever! Go with God-

I will forever remember the beautiful chime of that type writer when I placed an order with him. Although I never met him in person we chatted on the phone and what a dear soul he was. My thoughts and prayers to you all.

My dad, Jim Telscher
worked along each other, trying get their meat stores up and running. Fred was a stand up guy, and very personable. Rest In Peace.

Carolyn, Tutti, Steven, Bob, Daniel, and Mike. So sad
to hear of Fritz's passing, I have nothing but great memories shared with Fred over many years. Fred was an inspiration to all as he gave it his all everyday typing away orders while standing. Fred always seemed ageless. I met Fred when I was 23 selling him meat products from Swift, he surely helped me to learn the meat business in a hurry.
I'm now 62 and remain with a smile every time I hear his name mentioned. May God Bless you all and celebrate his life today and everyday.
