Gregory Bauke Obituary
Gregory P., 54 , of Amelia, formerly of Loveland, died on November 30, 2016 from post-surgical complications. He was the beloved husband of Julie (Kroger) Bauke and unspeakably proud father of John Bauke of New York City and Matt Bauke of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is also survived by his brother Mark (Liz) Bauke. Born in Cincinnati, he was an alumnus of Xavier University and served in the United States Navy on the USS America and as a Naval Intelligence Officer at the Pentagon. Greg spent his career in the Insurance industry, starting an insurance brokerage with a partner in 1999. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rita and Paul Bauke and his first wife, Lori (Falso) Bauke. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in memory of Greg to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (1125 Bank St. Cincinnati, Ohio 45214) or the Brown County Animal Shelter (100 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown Ohio 45121). Visitation will be held Sunday December 4 from 4-7 pm at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home at 129 Riverside Drive in Loveland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday December 5 at 10:30 am at St. Columban Church at 894 Oakland Road in Loveland.

May the Love of God uplift you through this time of unimaginable sorrow. I never met Greg in person, but for the last 15 or so years, he was a great insurance resource for my agency, and we spoke on the phone periodically. I consider his staff and him as very friendly professional associations. I was shocked when I heard. I can't even fathom how the family and close friends must feel. I knew Greg several years ago through his agency's relationship with Cincinnati Equitable. He was such a neat guy - professional, personable and funny. I'd say my life was better for having known him for a while. Just an all around cool guy. I know his passing is a great loss for his family and friends.
