Jack Earl, loving and dearly beloved husband of Joyce Ernst Hibbard Drake and his late wife of fifty four years, Anne Kendrick Drake, mother of his four loving and caring children: Barbara Rosenbloom, Loveland; Nancy (Jim) Bowman, Loveland; Richard Drake, Wilmette, IL; and Susan (Bailey) Weathers, Elkhart, IN.
Jack was also blessed with eleven grandchildren: Jessica and Sarah Rosenbloom; Matt (Roxanne), Katie and Stephen Bowman; Jack, Caroline and Patrick Drake; and Christina Weathers (Chad) Stoller, Elizabeth and Timothy Weathers; and two great-granddaughters: Kyra and Sophie Bowman.
Jack's sister, Diane Drake Anderegg preceded him in death. Her daughter, Deborah Anderegg (John) Kwan of Lafayette, CA, is his cherished niece; her son, Douglas Anderegg, his nephew. Jack passed away August 4.
He and Joyce lived at Mason Christian Village since 2010.
Jack was born Nov. 11, 1929 to the late Edwin K. and Dorothy Gerdsen Drake.
He went to Kennedy-Silverton Elem-Jr. Hi, graduated from Withrow HS in 1947 and from UC College of Engineering in 1952.
His entire working career was at Procter and Gamble. He had engineering responsibility for packaging systems and for over twenty years for design of building systems for office and research facilities in the US, Europe, Venezuela, and Japan. He always enjoyed his work. After 44 years he retired and really enjoyed the time to travel and do volunteer work at church and Wildwood.
Jack was an active member of Kennedy Heights Presbyterian Church for over 65 years, serving as deacon, treasurer, and 9 terms as elder. He served the Presbytery for 25 years, was active in Boy Scouting for 30 years, and was an avid UC fan and supporter.
Jack has donated his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for the purpose of aiding medical science.
A memorial service will be held at Sycamore Presbyterian Church 11800 Mason Rd. (at Montgomery Rd) Friday August 16. Visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of Service at 11:00 AM.

I had the pleasure of working with Jack at P&G straight out of college. I credit Jack from transitioning me from an academic engineer to a practical engineer working in the real world. He was a great pleasure to know and a valuable resource early in my career. My prayers to all.
