Janie was a friend to me and all the teachers at The Summit. We shared many laughs, frustrations and daily life during her time there. I will be forever grateful that we had that time together. Also grateful that Jane gave my own daughter an exceptional second grade year. Rest In Peace, Jane.

You don't know the Beehan family from Nashville. But Janey lived in Nashville during her grade school years. Her family and ours were friends, parents and children. I have passed along to my siblings about your mother's death from ALS. I'm truly sorry to hear about your loss. Your aunt Betsy was kind enough to let me know. Your family are in my prayers during this Lenten season. May you heal with God's love and blessings.

Over the years that my sister Penny has been married to Mike, I remember Janie was always smiling and made you feel welcome, important and special. She touched many lives with that same gift. She will be missed by her family and friends. I was blessed to have been able to see her in the last few years when she came with Peggy & Jim to visit Mike & Penny here in FL. May God's peace fill your hearts.

We are very saddened to hear of Janes passing. We were part of the same ALS family. We enjoyed seeing her son and her bright smile at group meetings. She always had great advice to share, and always had a hug to give. Our condolences go out to her family. She will be missed.

Patrick and Cara so sorry for the loss of your wonderful Mom. Jane and I were good friends at Edgecliff and lived together for a year after graduation. We had a lot of fun and sharing. Many Fridays we split beers to relax after a long week of teaching . I did meet both of you when you were young and she loved you both so much. We did connect in December and so happy we did. God bless you all. Cathy Schuessler Furey

To a teacher that I feel so lucky that my daughter had: You are a true blessing to all and especially to those of us who were lucky enough to have had you teach our children. On that first day of kindergarten, I was so worried about Laney's first day of school, but when I saw that smile of yours, I knew Laney was going to have a great year. And a great year it was. Thank you for loving our children and teaching them with such grace, comfort and endless hugs. Heaven gained a great one with you.

Patrick and Cara so sorry for your loss of a very special woman. Jane and I were friends at Edgecliff and lived one year in an apartment our first year out of college. We had so much sharing and fun. On Fridays we would split beers so they wouldnt get warm and chill out after a week of teachingWe connected this past December and I just emailed her this past Monday. When I received a text she had passed, I could only hope we had a good bye. You are so very lucky to have had such an awesome Mom. I met you both when very young, she adored you both. Pat and Cara, I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing. Our sweet Jane, as we refer to her at Terrace Park Elementary was one of a kind. We saw her passion for teaching each and every day. The children learned so much from Jane, not only academically, but through her everyday living. What a great example she was for her students, parents and staff. Her smile could brighten up your day, no matter how bad it was. I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish forever. When I saw Jane last Friday we had a great visit. At the end of the visit we Pinky swore I would be back soon to visit. It breaks my heart that we won't be seeing each other as soon as we had hoped. While it is so hard for us to deal with you being gone, we know you are in a better place and pain free. We have a special guardian angel looking over us. I'm sure you have decorated heaven in Polka Dot and filled the fridge with Budlight. You are forever in our thoughts and prayers. We love you! Until we meet again.
Much love, Steve, Barb and Alex Wilson

Aunt Jane was the sweetest most caring person you would ever want to meet...! She loved people and anyone who knew her could attest to this! She loved life whether teaching her students or a good sporting event, such as a XU basketball game! She was also known in our family for her famous Aunt Jane's Spaghetti! She enjoyed a good cold Miller Lite, so I will be sure to toast one for you... you were the best..!

Put on your detective hat and keep your listening ears on: Cheers to our Aunt Janie! Our quintessential kindergarten teacher! A "Lump Sugar" who wore her heart on her sleeve and could quickly dissolve into a mountain of tears witnessing a kind gesture, reading a touching children's book, or really---had tears for just about any occasion! She loved her family and grandchildren and all those she taught (children & adults). She loved books & birthdays, patterns & polka dots, Diet Coke & Miller Lite. She was so humble; I can only hope she knows NOW how many lives she enriched and how deeply she was loved!! I know she will rest in peace free from ALS in all of God's glory!! XXOO
