Hard to believe that it has been 10 years since Ken passed on. Life goes on and, for many of us who lived or worked with him, our lives are better off due to the impact he had on us. Good to be reminded.

My condolences and prayers for Kenny and his family. It is evident that Kenny's entire existence after Miami was a continuation of his lust for life and relationships. His incredible ability to physically push beyond where other big men of his day could go surely helped to form a mantra of self confidence and belief in oneself that forms a large part of the legacy he spread far and wide. He will be missed , but forever remembered by me for his love of life, friends and family.

He and I played together @ Miami. Never realized that Kenny really never left and was so giving to the University. God bless Kenny, the university and a lot of us lost a good friend. He'll be missed.

Other than the famous High School battle of the undefeated Monroe vs. Harrison in 1970's I only had one opportunity to meet Coach Root. I did, however, hear many stories told by his All-Star Offensive Lineman and friend Dave Metz, who by the way was my room mate at the University of Michigan. Ken was obviously loved and endeared by all. I know his life touched so many for the good and I am praying that the Lord of mourning comfort his family and loved ones in this time of need. May the Lord richly bless you all.
