Carstens
Mary Margaret Carstens, 92, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Doverwood Village in Fairfield Township, OH. She was a Homemaker. She had a Degree from The University of Cincinnati in English and taught Grapho-Analysis. Mary was a member of St. Agnes Church in Ft. Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Carstens (2004); brothers, Tom and Robert Schlinkert, and sister, Dorothy Corbett (2002). Survivors include her sons, Gary (Joanie) Carstens of Argyle, NY, Greg (Melinda) Carstens of Edgewood, KY, Glenn (Eileen) Carstens of Fox Lake, IL; daughter, Gail (Don) Stocker of West Chester, OH; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday, January 11, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, 316 Elm Street, Ludlow, KY with Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 10:00AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 2415 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell, KY. Interment in Mother of God Cemetery, Ft. Wright, KY. Memorials are suggested to Doverwood Village Social Committee, c/o Pam Martinkovick, 4195 Hamilton-Mason Road, Fairfield Township, OH 45011. I look for and pay attention to pink skies in the morning as a reminder of Aunt Shea. Mary Margaret as Cora would say, was always "Pretty in Pink." I can't believe it's been seven years.

I first met Mary about 5 yrs ago when I started saying the Rosary with her and others at Arborwood. She was a beautiful person, always a joy to be with. I remember her talking about her late husband, her children and grandchildren. She loved all of you! I will miss her!
