Cincinnati - Eckstein, Melvin Lt. Col. US Army Ret. passed away Dec 3rd 2020 at Age 92. Beloved husband for 68 years to Virginia Eckstein (nee Korte). Loving father of Michele (Brian) Schaft & Lynn (Jay) Bourgraf. Cherished grandfather of Brian Blackburn, Rhonda Loosle & Tina Ahr, Great Grandfather of Sam, Tanner, Hunter, Maria & Lucas and Great-Great Grandfather of Nolan & Genevieve. Brother of the late Marylyn Rohling & Erwin Eckstein. Melvin was a Northside native, graduate of Roger Bacon High School and a decorated Korean War Veteran, 2nd Chemical Corp. Some of his accomplishments include the Army War College, Army Reserves, Process Control Engineer at P&G for 26 years & cofounder of MTD & Assocs. Visitation on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, 45224. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial, St. Margaret Mary Church, 1830 W Galbraith Rd., North College Hill, 45239 at 11 AM. Internment service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
