Mort Libby Obituary
Mort, age 80 of Newtown, died May 15, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Marcus Libby, devoted father of Daniel P. (Anne) Libby, Elizabeth A. (Carlos) Libby-Collado, and Brent T. (Malissa) Libby, loving grandfather of Katherine, Joseph, Benjamin, Hannah, Samuel, and Savannah, and dear brother of Colleen Weston. Founding Partner of LPK, an international marketing and brand identity firm. Friends may visit at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Friday, May 19th from 4 to 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kennebec Land Trust, 331 Main St., Winthrop, ME 04364.

I worked with Mort Libby as his Executive Assistant at LPK for over 25 years. In business, he was always professional, supportive, fair, kind, and treated me with utmost respect...always. Personally, he was a treasured friend. I can't count the number of times he made me laugh. And we shared our love of animals. In recent years, he would check in from time to time. We would go to breakfast. I could still count on his quick, dry wit to keep me laughing. Such a sad time...but the wonderful stories and memories of Mort I'll cherish forever.
