Olas and I worked together at Cheviot Fire Department for several years. He loved helping others and treated everyone with great respect. I enjoyed working with Olas, he was always smiling and would share stories of his love for his family. I will miss seeing Olas at 730 mass at Visitation on Sunday mornings.
Marge and the Miller family I am so sorry for your loss, Donna and I will keep your family in our prayers during these difficult times.
Sincerely

A story by Uncle Arvis Sinclair
Around 1950 I bought some land in Amelia to build a house on. Friday nights, after work, Olas and I would go to Kentucky, spend the night then on Saturday load the truck up with materials and head back home. Olas helped me build the house. One day Olas was holding a 2x4 frame I had set up. There was a loose 2x4 laying on top. Olas was looking around and not holding the frame steady and shook off the loose 2x4. I screamed at him to make him move so he wouldn't get hit but he looked up and it hit him right in the forehead. The blood starting squirting out and it scared me to death. I grabbed him up and put him in the car and ran to the doctor. They put a couple of stitches in. Thank goodness he was ok.

Mr. Miller was one of the kindest men I ever had the honor to look up to. Being a good friend of his son Robert, our little group of friends would congregate at the Miller's house, taking over the basement, or the backyard with our goofy but fun shenanigans. Loudly singing, acting and putting on our comedy bits - he never complained about our commotions. Then when we all went to the same college, he and Mrs. Miller drove us for 5 hours each way every semester and break. He even drove my Mom to Parents' weekends. The car rides were hilarious because he joked with us as much as we joked with him. We made fun of his enjoyment of country music and he scolded us for not knowing good music when we heard it. He and Mrs. Miller often times treated us to dinner and was generous beyond compare.
So much love to Robert, Mrs. Miller and the rest of the Miller family. He was loved by so many, and I hope you feel this love as you navigate life without him. Cherish the memories and hold on to each other.

Thoughts and prayers to the entire Miller family. Mr. Miller was a great guy. He was my (and Dave's) baseball and basketball coach, when we were young. He taught us the importance of playing the game the right way. His influence was so inspirational to me growing up in sports. He will not be forgotten. RIP Mr. Miller
