Great grandfather of Ripley, Harper and Cooper Carroll. Special friend of Fannie Mills. Passed away Monday, July 25, 2016, at the age of 100. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, Thursday from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 12 noon. Sorry, that my special present for Uncle Ralph arrived after he passed. I know he would have loved it. He was always a happy and cheerful. As you know I will Never forget our special trip to Florida and all of its very fond memories! Loved him and you all.

Dearest Judy and family,
As your heart is so saddened, so also is mine, with the passing of my beloved Uncle Ralph. He was such a special man and I loved him dearly. I just wish I could be there with you during this time. One of these days we just must get together so that we can go all the way back to those special times on the Dent farm in West Virginia. Although we are sad, I think there is rejoicing from Aunt Edith, Grandma and Grandpa, Arlene, Uncle Jerry, Uncle Cas, Uncle Howard, Aunt Delma and Uncle Elliot. My heart is there with you Judy and I wish for you and Bill and your family God's peace and love. I love you all.

Judy and Bill - you know how much we loved Ralph, our honorary "Mayor of Marview Terrace." We will miss him dearly, as we know you will. So glad that we still have memories and his spirit right here with us in "Ralph's house." (And of course, you are always welcome to come visit!) Thinking of you and your family and wishing you peace and comfort in your memories of "Daddy."

I lived next door to Mr. Dent and his family on Marview Terrace growing up. He was a wonderful friend and neighbor, so kind and helpful! Those were the days when neighbors knew each other and cared about each other. He was a great mechanic and helped my Dad out whenever we experienced a sudden car maintenance problem. He was super special! Deepest sympathy to the Dent family.
