Mason - Richard Fussner, born March 9, 1929 in Hamilton County, passed away on February 1, 2021. Loving husband of the late Mary Jane Fussner, born, beloved father of Richard (Marti) Fussner Jr. and John (Stacey) Fussner, cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren, great grandfather of 16 great-grandchildren, and great-great grandfather of 2. Preceded in death by beloved daughter Kathy Hendershot. The family of Richard will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home-Mason (400 Reading Road, Mason, OH 45040) on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 12 Noon. Services are in care of Shorten and Ryan where expressions of sympathy may be left at shortenandryan.com

To the family of Dick Fussner I can only say how very proud you must be of his life. I never knew a kinder, more generous and caring person in my 80 years. I was a friend of Dick during that period that he was with Kings Island. Many were the time that he hosted our various safety group meetings in his position with Kings Island. On a one on one relationship he was indeed my guide and mentor in the safety business field.
Dick and Mary Jane became our friends during these years and Jan, my wife, and I spent many a happy evening in their company. The love that they had for each other and their family was a joy to be a part of during that time.
We extend our sympathy to you and please know how much he will be missed by all who he touched in the Cincinnati area.
