Robert KIER Obituary

KIER Robert ""Bob' Clark, preceded in death by his wife Anna Gerhart Kier and parents Maynard and Catherine Stucker Kier; loving father of Patrice (Joseph) Laakman, Karen (Dave) Quinn, Kathryn (Gary) Kleinrichert; grandfather of Thomas and Elizabeth Laakman, Gary and Jeffery Quinn, William, Andrew, John and Anne Kleinrichert; brother of Marilyn Kier (Roy) Schwartzkopf; brother-in-law of Dr. John C. (Marianne) Gerhart and Julia E. (Fred) Bergold. Bob was a 1951 graduate of Hughes High School and continued his education at The Ohio State University where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Following graduation he served in the United States Navy as a LTJG. For many years hew as an avid Ohio State Committeeman and Alum, Golfer and Fisherman. Bob was a longtime resident of Wyoming, Ohio, spent nine years in Myrtle Beach, SC and has most recently resided in Indianapolis, IN. He succumbed to the complications of a blood clot on Tuesday, May 1, 2004. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 14th, from 12:30-1:30 P.M. at Vorhis Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pike, Springdale, Ohio, followed by a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Evans Scholar Foundation, 1 Briar Road, Golf, IL 60029.
