Robert Raymond Seifert, beloved husband of the late Rita Lee Seifert, father of RJ, Gregory, and Jeffrey. Robert is survived by his 3 sons and their wives, Patty, Carolyn, and Marybeth. Robert was a devoted grandfather to Robert Stadtmiller, Scott Seifert, Kristin Smith (Seifert), Mark Seifert, Chris Seifert, Jenny Seifert, Sara Seifert, Michael Seifert, and great-grandfather to Chase Seifert, Zachary Seifert, Katie Seifert, Carter Smith, Evan Smith and Olivia Seifert. Our loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was affectionately known as Jackson. Robert was a proud graduate of Purcell High School (1947) and Xavier University (1951). In the late 1960's, Robert sent out invitations to area high school band members to gather on Sunday evenings in the Charteroak neighborhood for an hour of music and fun. As the years progressed, the band became known as the Charteroak Stationary Marching Band. Over the next 15 years, the Band would perform 500 free patriotic concerts for local nursing homes, parks, and community events. Robert will always be remembered for his fun loving nature, his laughter that always brought smiles to our faces, his love for all forms of music (especially classical), and his devotion to Rita and his family. He will be missed by those who have been touched by his love, his sense of humor, his ability to tell a great story, and his passion to make those around him happy. Robert passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2017. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Church with a Mass of Christian burial immediately following the visitation.
