Walter Elsnau Obituary
Colerain Twp. - Walter H. Elsnau, beloved husband for 44 years of Anita (nee Dews) Elsnau. Devoted father of Bonnie (Bob) Duncan, the late Kenny Elsnau, Mark Elsnau, Andrea Ayers, Steven Eggert and Tom (Janice) Eggert. Loving grandfather of Shannon Wolfe, Bradley Duncan, Meghan Noland, Allison Elsnau, Kenny Elsnau Jr. and Stephen Ayers. Also survived by numerous great grandchildren. Brother of the late John Elsnau. Walter passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the age of 89. Visitation at Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Road on Thursday (April 18) from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 11:30am. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Special condolences may be expressed at frederickfh.com

Mr. Elsnau was a wonderful neighbor and friend to our whole family. Though he was a very busy person he was always SO generous with his time. His intelligence, capability and expertise (along with his sense of humor) endeared him to my parents, especially to my dad whom he helped with remodeling and other home issues. Dad was an immigrant and Mr Elsnau was always so respectful and welcomed conversations others did not. Tagging along with him and Bonnie to weekly church choir practice and Sunday service was so enjoyable. I don't know what he would have said about our twice weekly French horn lessons for which he absolutely refused a fee and had to be rough! All in all a very kind and giving person who was loved by so many.

Mr. Elsnau will be missed. He was wonderful to be around. This family is in my prayers. You were all very good to him and took great care of him. May God bless you all.
