William Cowgill Obituary
William Watts Cowgill, age 70, passed away January 23, 2016. Bill was born March 3, 1945 to Maude and Don Cowgill, of Wilmington, OH. He attended Wilmington grade school and high school. He went to the University of Cincinnati on a golf scholarship. He was captain of the golf team his senior year. After college, he attended Harvard Business School for his Master's degree. After working for different companies, he started his own firm- Cowgill-Haberer. He retired early and devoted himself to golf. He was a member of Kenwood Country Club for 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie Combs Cowgill; his 2 sisters, Patty (Dan) Shick and Cathe (Jim) Hosea. He leaves many nieces and nephews that he adored. He will be missed by all of his many friends. Memorial donations may be sent to SPCA Cincinnati- 11900 Conrey Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45249 or to JDRF- 8050 Hosbrook Rd #314, Cincinnati, OH 45236. Fares J. Radel Funeral Home, Cincinnati assisting the family.

I was so sorry to learn of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill for a short time; he was always very kind and respectful which I greatly appreciated. My condolences to Bonnie and family. May his soul rest in peace and my good memories comfort.

Where to begin? Uncle Bill was such a great uncle and lovable guy, he will be sorely missed Aunt Bonnie. Beth, Colson, Abby and I will miss him very much. Now, Uncle Bill and I DIDN'T always see eye to eye on politics, but he was a straight shooter, and had a passion for his beliefs, and that's as good as it gets. God bless you Aunt Bonnie, we love you very much.

Bill and I were friends in the Wilmington Schools, but not until our 50th reunion did I see him again and meet you, Bonnie. I mourn with you and hope that with time; one day your loss will be replaced with only the good times you two shared.

I am very sorry to learn of Bill's passing. We played golf at Snow Hill Country Club and had some enjoyable matches in those years. He was a genuinely good person and a great golfer. I am sorry for your loss.
