William Joseph, loving husband of Rose Marie Obert (nee Behrens) for almost 50 years. Beloved father of Angie (Dean) McCavitt and Bill (Melinda) Obert. Cherished grandfather of Isaac and Julia McCavitt, Joseph, Tyler and Allison Obert. Devoted son of the late William J. and Marie (nee Hoffmann) Obert. Dear brother of Marie Rose Obert. Died Jan. 23, 2015. Age 80. Visitation Thursday, Jan. 29th from 4:00 - 7:00PM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home 5527 Cheviot Rd. (45247), where Northside Knights of Columbus service will be held at 6:30PM. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Jan. 30th at 10:00AM at St. James Church (White Oak). Memorials may be made to St. James Church 3565 Hubble Rd. (45247).

I just heard the news about Mr Obert, my family and I are sad to hear this news. Mr Obert was my baseball coach many years ago and I will always remember how positive of a person he was to all the kids. He was a very sweet man and I remember seeing him at Good Sam as a volunteer just a few years ago. He always said to me when I saw him "there's my second baseman". He will be missed and I am fortunate to of known the man. My thoughts and prayers go out to Billy, Angie and Rose. RIP Mr Obert

Rose,
I was so very sorry to hear about his passing. I wanted you to know that he played an instrumental role in saving my life, as I would not be the person I am today were it not for his guidance, and I feel blessed that I was there for him that day. I wish the outcome would have been different, but we both know that he is with God now and he is looking back at all of us with love. He truly was a wonderful man and incredible teacher.

Rose, Nancy and I wanted you to know we are thinking of you and are sorry for your loss. As I was thinking about Bill and the things he loved. I remember playing softball with him on Sunday mornings in the "outlaw league." He was by a wide margin the oldest member of the team but he could really play. He was our pitcher and number 5 hitter. He was a very good softball player. He always came early and stayed late. What guy ...he will be missed>

I will miss seeing Bill at the monthly retired teachers meetings as his stories never ended. As a teacher he touched many students. His love of music was evident as working with him to schedule my band classes, he was always cooperative and enthusiastic.
