Paul Atwood Obituary

Circleville Paul Ronald Atwood, 82, of Circleville, Ohio passed away on September 30, 2025 following an extended illness. Paul was born on March 15, 1943 in Circleville to Clement Atwood and Dorothy Harral Atwood. He graduated from Jackson Township School in 1961. He served as a military policeman in the Army from 1964-1966. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Amvets 2256. He retired from DuPont in 1999. After retirement he enjoyed working the family farm that had passed down on his mother's side since 1853, researching family history and sharing it with his kids and grandkids and traveling to all 50 states with his wife. Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty Crouch Atwood, his son Eric (Joy) Atwood, his daughter Marcia (Mark) Ruff and his four much loved grandchildren Matthew Ruff, Mitchell Ruff, Mae Ruff and Carly Atwood. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roger and sister Mary Ann. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville from 4-7 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Cemetery. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the Westfall CARES food program, 9391 State Route 56 West, Williamsport, Ohio 43164. Online condolences can be made to www.wellmanfuneralhomes.com.
