Betty Savaria Obituary

Betty J. Savaria

Asheville - Betty Joan Savaria, 71, affectionately known as "Granny", went to be with her Lord Tuesday, July 5, 2011.

A native of Franklin, NC, Ms. Savaria had resided in Buncombe County for over 25 years. She was a homemaker, and was preceded in death by her oldest son, Jack Savaria.

Surviving are her children: Mary Haney, Tony Savaria, Cathy Fincher, and Robert J. Savaria; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM noon Friday at Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Sister Hassie Lundy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of her son, Tony Savaria, 62 Hogan View Drive, Asheville, NC 28804.

Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Savaria family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
