Dorothy Thomas Dickey

Johnson City - Dorothy Thomas Dickey, 97, Johnson City, passed away on April 18, 2013 at NHC Healthcare Johnson City, TN. She was a native of Johnson City, and the daughter of the late Frank L. and Anna W. Thomas.

Dorothy was a former member of First Presbyterian Church, Johnson City. She was most recently a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Asheville, NC, where she lived for many years.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters: Anna Torgerson, Asheville, NC, Dorothy Reyelts and husband Roger, Marietta, GA; sons: Matthew W. Dickey, Panama City Beach, FL, Thomas H. Dickey and wife Lynn, Cary, NC; sister: Anna Thomas, Johnson City; brother and sister-in-law: Robert "Bud" and Betty Thomas, Jonesborough, TN; and seven grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Wellington Place, where she resided for several years, and to the staff at NHC Healthcare for the loving care and kindness they provided to Dorothy during her final days.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from12:00 PM until the service hour.
