James Plemmons Obituary
Candler - James Benny Plemmons, 68, died Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the VA Medical Center.
A native of Buncombe County, Mr. Plemmons was a son of the late J. Onlie Plemmons and Betty Lou Case Plemmons Hyatt. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Giles.
Jim proudly served on active duty in the US Army during the Vietnam war, and more recently had been involved in the hotel/motel industry.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Youree Plemmons; son, James Plemmons (Caprita); daughters, Tammy Stratton and Kimberly Giles (Tim); grandchildren, Danielle, Chastity and Derrick; and sister,Kathy Dawson (Howard).
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Sorry for your lose. Jim will surely be missed. I always enjoyed the little pranks he played on us as we were growing up. Sending my thoughts and prayers. Love you guys.
