Jonas Davenport Obituary
Marion - Jonas Davenport, age 87, of Marion, NC, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his residence with his wife at his bedside.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Walker and Rev. Millard Kiser officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Jonas was always a fine and decent Christian man.It was good to know him. He will be missed in our community. Our symphathy to Kate and the family.

Nancy and I were sorry to hear of Jonas's passing and also sorry that I am in Cincinnati, OH, until late tomorrow and will miss the visitation and the service.
We wish you comfort in this time of sorrow. Love to you Kate Mae and to all the family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
