Julian Banks Obituary
Weaverville - Julian W. Banks, 80, of 266 Herron Cove Rd., died Saturday July 9, 2011 at his residence. He was a native of Henderson County living most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Ray's Chapel Baptist Church . Mr. Banks was the son of the late Ed and Bonnie Watkins Banks . In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Sally Brown Banks and son Danny Whitton Banks.
He is survived by daughters, Beverly Metcalf (Neil) and Shelia Robinson (Jack); sons, Larry, Tony, Edward, and Steven Banks, all of Weaverville; three sisters; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 12, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Revs. Eric Sams and Charles English will officiate. Burial will follow in Lower Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday, July 11.
