She loved the North Carolina mountains and enjoyed being outdoors and experiencing the flora and fauna of the region. Earlier, Marlene produced and acted in several plays and was known as a terrific hostess at the many parties in her homes, particularly on St. Patrick's Day. Above all, Marlene was dedicated to her family and was always selfless in support of her husband, children and grandchildren.

Lynn & family, so sorry about the loss of your mother. It’s hard to lose anyone, but a parent is so hard. Makes me sad for you and your family. May God bless you all.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Somehow I feel like I was able to get to know Marlene thru Nick and Michele who expressed a deep affection and appreciation for a wonderful mother , friend, and a genuine beautiful person. May heaven bless her with eternal blue skies and tailwinds! With sincere sympathy, Judy
