"Pete"
Asheville - Panagiotis Nikolaos Tasios (Pete) of 30 Gracelyn Rd., Asheville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 21, 2014 at the age of 60. He was born on November 20, 1954 in Karpenisi, Greece and was the son of Nikolaos Tasios and the late Maria Tasios. After migrating to the United States in 1966, he and his family owned and operated the Flamingo Restaurant on Biltmore Avenue until retiring in 2012. He is survived by his wife Gail Tasios; sons, Nicholas Pete Tasios, Christopher Pete Tasios and his wife Tina Tasios; his grandchildren, Neva, Alexius, Braden and Elijah, whom he loved dearly; his father, Nikolaos Tasios; three brothers, Gus, Arthur and Jimmy; three cousins, Nick, Arthur and Debbie and his four legged best friend Bubba who never left his side.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, December 26, 2014 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. A Trisagion will begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Holy Trinity. Father Michael Diavatis will officiate. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

Pete was a great guy. Ate at the Flamingo with him alot. Played alot of golf with him also. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
